Ashton Jeanty
2025 Season Outlooks
Jeanty was selected by Las Vegas with the No. 6 overall pick in April's draft. He is the No. 1 fantasy prospect in this rookie class following a dominant tenure at Boise State. Incredibly, he ranked first in this class in YAC and broken tackle rate both last season and during his collegiate career. Jeanty's elite playmaking ability and a three-down skill set supply him with the upside to be the next elite NFL running back. He's positioned for a feature-back role right out of the gate and should be valued as a midrange RB1.
Jeanty earned a perfect 99.9 run grade in college and was also the top receiving running back in the class with an 81.4 receiving grade.
He will not only be used as the clear primary runner, but also has the opportunity to earn several targets. The Raiders don’t have much depth at wide receiver, and new offensive coordinator Chip Kelly has a history of running backs with high target rates. The Eagles finished in the top five in terms of running back targets during his time in Philadelphia, and similarly, UCLA ranked among the top five Power 5 teams during his time there.
The Raiders' offensive line is holding Jeanty back from the top tier of running backs. None of the offensive linemen have ever received a run block grade above 80 in a season in their NFL careers.
