Already on the hot seat, Getsy was fired after a fiasco of a loss to the Bengals on Sunday, Getsy's Bears track record suggested he was a poor hire all along in Vegas, though the team's severe talent deficiencies make it unclear what he could have really done differently. He was still stuffing the stat sheet for Brock Bowers and Jakobi Meyers. Coach Antonio Pierce undoubtedly wants a greater run-game commitment, but that is easier said than done with Alexander Mattison and Zamir White. Perhaps 40-year-old Getsy will reunite with Matt LaFleur in Green Bay. As for the Raiders, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero reports passing-game coordinator Scott Turner could be the next man up as play-caller.
Mattison only saw nine carries as the Raiders had to throw 33 times while playing from behind against the Bengals. His opportunities have varied throughout the season, as Zamir White was active and saw six carries while Ameer Abdullah saw all the backfield pass-catching opportunities. Mattison is the lead back, but his fantasy success will be game script-oriented more often than not. Mattison is a risky FLEX play after the Raiders bye.
White put together another inefficient day, getting first quarter goal-line carries for his touchdown score. The Raiders offense is low opportunity, and will be passing a lot when trailing. Alexander Mattison has taken over lead back duties and while White will still get chances and goal-line duties, he is merely a risky low-ceiling RB4 after the Raiders' bye.
Raiders declared RB Dylan Laube, CB Sam Webb, S Trey Taylor, C Andre James, and DE Janarius Robinson inactive for Week 9 against the Bengals. With White ready to go against the Bengals, Laube was deemed inactive as Alexander Mattison and White will continue to be the Raiders' top backs. Andre James (ankle) is the Raiders' major injury inactive as the center will miss his first game of the season. EDGE Maxx Crosby (ankle) and LB Robert Spillane (knee) both did not practice Friday but are good to go.
Raiders RB Zamir White (quad) is active for today s game vs. the Bengals. He s totaled just five carries and one target over the last two weeks and is not a fantasy option.
