2025 Season Outlooks

Irving was one of the best surprise Fantasy options as a rookie in 2024, and he will look to build off that performance this season. He's worth drafting as early as Round 2 in the majority of leagues. Last year, Irving took over the Tampa Bay backfield from Rachaad White and was dominant to close the season, scoring at least 16.3 PPR points in seven of his final nine games, including the playoffs. Irving will again share touches with White and potentially Sean Tucker this season, but Irving should be headed for a bigger role as a sophomore. Tampa Bay's offense should be explosive this season with Chris Godwin back and the addition of Emeka Egbuka to a receiving corps that also includes Mike Evans, Jalen McMillan and Cade Otton. Irving has top-10 upside in all formats, and he will hopefully pick up where 2024 ended and play like that all season.

Irving is a strong 2025 breakout candidate following an impressive rookie season. The fourth-round pick didn't play on over half the snaps in a game until Week 6, but was fantasy's No. 10 RB from that point on. He produced 15-plus fantasy points in nine of his final 12 games, with injury responsible for two duds. Irving's efficiency was elite, as his 5.4 YPC, 2.5 YAC, 90% catch rate and 7.5 RAC were all top 5 among RBs. Irving will defer some work to Rachaad White, and his 192-frame raises obvious durability questions, but he looked the part as a rookie and is well positioned for 15-plus touches per game in a good offense. At worst, he's a fringe RB1.

Irving averaged 0.29 avoided tackles per attempt and 0.096 avoided tackles per route run, which were both the best among running backs last season. He also led the league in yards after contact per attempt at 4.03, and the percentage of his carries that gained at least 30 yards at 3.4%.
He played between 31-36% of snaps in September and worked his way up to 68-72% of snaps in January.
The Buccaneers retained their starting five offensive linemen from last season, who all played at least 950 offensive snaps, including the playoffs.
