2023 Season Outlooks

Knight will compete with Michael Carter and rookie Israel Abanikanda to be the No. 2 running back for the Jets until Breece Hall is healthy, which could be a useful role early in the season with Hall coming off last year's torn ACL. However, the signing of Dalvin Cook in mid-August removes any long-term value for Knight unless injuries strike again this season. Knight emerged as the best backup to Hall in 2022, and he had three games with at least 12 PPR points in seven appearances. If Knight does win the backup job, draft him after Round 10, especially if Hall is still dealing with his knee injury in training camp. He could be a surprise Fantasy option in 2023 if he gets enough touches, but he is not worth drafting in Fantasy leagues after the addition of Cook.

Knight returns for his second NFL season after playing a sizable role for the Jets down the stretch last season. The N.C. State product went undrafted last April, but Breece Hall's season-ending torn ACL allowed Knight 85 carries and 14 targets during the Jets' final seven games. He came flying out of the gates with a pair of 100-yard games to begin his pro career but tailed off a bit down the stretch in the Jets' struggling offense. The 22-year-old could open the season in a timeshare with Michael Carter, but he'll be well off the fantasy radar once Hall is back to full health.
