ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) An extended break for the Dallas Cowboys will be dominated by talk of whether the defending NFC East champs will get top receiver CeeDee Lamb some help by signing Odell Beckham Jr. Dak Prescott has left little question his deep group of tight ends will play a big role in a playoff push regardless of whether the high-profile free agent picks Dallas. Dalton Schultz had two receiving touchdowns in a 28-20 Thanksgiving victory over the New York Giants.
Cowboys QB Dak Prescott tossed 2 INTs in the 1st half of Thursday's game against the Giants, helping the visitor carry a 6-point lead into halftime. But Prescott rebounded with 2 TD throws in the 2nd half. He nearly added a 3rd, but WR CeeDee Lamb just missed getting his feet down on a 4th-quarter end-zone catch before TE Peyton Hendershot's rushing score. Next week brings a Colts D that has been 9th most friendly to QB scoring on the season.
Cowboys WR CeeDee Lamb caught 6 balls for 106 yards in Thursday's win over the Giants. He led the team in both categories, as well as drawing a team-high 11 targets. Lamb nearly added a 2-yard TD in the 4th quarter but just missed getting his feed down inbounds. It's the 2nd game of 100+ yards for Lamb among the past 3. WR Michael Gallup finished 2nd on the team in targets (8), receptions (5) and yards (63). The Cowboys get the Colts in Week 13.
ARLINGTON, Texas (AP) CeeDee Lamb could only smile when officials upheld an out-of-bounds call on what the Dallas receiver hoped would be a touchdown on his second one-handed catch of the game. Lamb put the Cowboys in position for one of Dak Prescott's two scoring passes to Dalton Schultz and Ezekiel Elliott's TD run in a 28-20 victory over the New York Giants on Thanksgiving Day. The toe-tapping TD Lamb thought he set up for himself instead became rookie Peyton Hendershot running for the 2-yard score, then directing all three of his fellow tight ends into a giant Salvation Army red kettle for a Whac-A-Mole celebration with Dallas an extra point away from a 28-13 lead.
Dallas Cowboys wide receiver CeeDee Lamb makes a one-handed catch for a gain of 21 yards.
