It has been since 2017 when Harris was drafted that we were talking about Harris being a draftable asset. Yet here we are in 2022 and Harris is shaping up like a rock-solid DL3 with DL2 upside. After a tumultuous career from 2017 to 2020, Harris finally showed the potential that garnered him a 1st round draft selection in 2017. In his first season with the Lions in 2021, Harris more than doubled his career-high sack total, tripled his career-high in tackles, and had an eye-popping 52 pressures.
This was all done with Harris being used as a stand-up pass rusher. This season, the Lions defense will only cater even more to Harris's play style. Coach Campbell said that the team is switching to a 4-3 base which will have Harris rushing from a three-point stance more. Last year may not have even been Harris's ceiling, yet you can still draft him as your DL3/4 with high level DL2 upside.
