Looking For Sit/Start Advice

Wednesday, Sep 30, 2009 at 12:00 pm ET

I've received emails from many of you in the past asking for specific sit/start advice. While I always try to respond to every email, I've been getting a lot lately. To all those that I haven't responded to yet, I apologize for the delay. The truth is that there simply aren't enough hours in the day.

If you can't wait for a response, I highly suggest visiting Fantasy Check from the Washington Post. Gene Wang takes many of those questions and will answer them online for you and all those who are pondering the same. He does a great job and I haven't found one piece of advice that I didn't agree with. I've just started reading the Post's fantasy blog on a religious basis this year and it's a daily read for me. Highly recommended.

I also like FFLibrarian.com. I know it's cheesy to keep saying this, but she really does have the fantasy football world catalogued. If she doesn't know where to find it, nobody does. Oftentimes readers will submit sit/start questions to her and she's very good (or other readers) about giving advice.

You can also check out my friends at Bruno Boys for lineup advice. Be sure to watch for their Live Chat times. These guys were actually born with footballs in their hands. It was a medical marvel that have doctors baffled 'til this day.

If you want to post your sit/start questions to the public, visit StartThisGuy.com. Let others vote on your lineup!

(As I write this, 7 more sit/start questions have come in. Hang tight guys.)

So feel free to keep sending me your sit/start questions. I'm always happy to respond, but know that there are many resources available to you.

I'll also use this space to give you a heads up that I'll be releasing a new feature on FFN shortly. Like everything else on FFN, I built it for me but will open it up to everyone. I started building it and nearly finished it when one of my API users wrote something very similar. His app is ridiculously cool, but it has a couple of bugs to work out yet so I'll wrap up mine so I have something to use in the interim. I also know that many of you use FFN at work and you may not be able to install software there so I'll wrap up development on mine so you have access to a web-based version. More to follow!

Checkout http://www.NFLWeather.com. It is the only place to receive every weather forecast, updated twice an hour, for every NFL football game every week. You can also use NFLweather.com to receive accurate information before betting on a game. And it doesn't have any annoying commercials, sound effects or pop-up ads. Just the weather reports for NFL games.
