Hunter will start a game for the first time since October 25. While he's flourished in a reserve role this season, the season-ending shoulder injury suffered by Jalen Johnson makes this lineup change necessary. Larry Nance Jr., David Roddy, Mouhamed Gueye, and Dominick Barlow have all received chances to start since Johnson's injury, but none provided tangible value at the power forward position. That should change with Hunter in the lineup.
Barlow shot the ball well and blocked a few shots on Saturday, but the playing time wasn't enough to convince most fantasy managers that he should be added. Larry Nance Jr. (4/5/1) wasn't as productive in his time on the floor, but he did play 19 minutes off the bench. There's little need to consider rostering either for Week 15, even if Clint Capela remains out due to injury. The Hawks play four games, beginning with the Pistons on Monday.
Hawks coach Quin Snyder has changed his starting lineup for Saturday's game, with Barlow replacing Mouhamed Gueye. Barlow can add value as a rebounder and boasts a higher fantasy ceiling than Gueye, but he is not a must-add player for Saturday's slate.
Nance is back on the sideline after missing nearly one month with a fractured right hand. He's sitting for injury management reasons, so the veteran big may be available for Tuesday's home game against the Rockets. Dominick Barlow may enter the rotation, especially with Jalen Johnson (shoulder) out, but there's no need to consider streaming him.
Capela is on track to return to the Hawks' rotation after sitting out Thursday's loss to the Raptors. Dominick Barlow stepped in as Onyeka Okongwu's backup, and he'll lose out on minutes if Capela and Larry Nance Jr. are cleared to play.
