Former Giants shortstop Nick Ahmed took a subtle dig at his old team after helping lead the Dodgers to victory against San Francisco on Thursday in Los Angeles.
Ahmed hit his first homer in a Dodger uniform, and it was a big one as it gave Los Angeles a 5-4 lead in the eighth inning. The 34-year-old also singled. Ahmed is going to get a chance to play with Miguel Rojas on the injured list, but he's a much better real-life player because of his glove than one who has fantasy value.
Shohei Ohtani and Nick Ahmed hit back-to-back home runs that sealed the Los Angeles Dodgers' 6-4 victory over the San Francisco Giants.
The Dodgers signed free agent shortstop Nick Ahmed on Wednesday as a replacement for the injured Miguel Rojas.
The Dodgers have not made a trade deadline transaction, but they did make some roster changes intended to bolster their pitching lineup.
