NBC SportsEdward Cabrera will start Friday's series opener against the Mets.

He'll be followed by Roddery Munoz, Trevor Rogers and Yonny Chirinos to open the second half. Cabrera ended the first half on a sour note when he served up a whopping four homers on Saturday in a loss to the Reds at Great American Ball Park. The 26-year-old former top pitching prospect has shown flashes of immense potential, but has been maddeningly inconsistent for fantasy purposes over the last few years. The big takeaway here for fantasy managers might be to stream a couple of the lesser-known Mets' hitters this weekend.

NBC SportsRoddery Munoz was charged with six runs (four earned) over a career-high 6 2/3 innings on Thursday in a loss to the Astros.

Munoz strung together the longest outing of his career so far, sparing Miami's overworked bullpen in the process. He struck out two and also handed out a pair of free passes. The 24-year-old righty will carry an underwhelming 5.47 ERA, 1.41 WHIP and 42/26 K/BB ratio across 51 innings (10 appearances, nine starts) into the All-Star break.

NBC SportsRoddery Munoz pitched decently in a bulk role against the White Sox on Friday night, giving up two runs on four hits over his four innings of work.

The right-hander also issued four walks on the evening while striking out two. The damage that was done against him came on run-scoring doubles by Martin Maldonado in the fourth inning and Nicky Lopez in the fifth. Munoz got six swings and misses on 87 pitches on the night, posting a CSW of only 22 percent. He now holds a 5.48 ERA, 1.47 WHIP and a 40/24 K/BB ratio over 44 1/3 innings on the season. It's unclear if he'll be used as a true starter or behind and opener once again on Wednesday against the Astros in Houston.
