Jeff Passan of ESPN reported that the deal is done. Paxton is going back to Boston, where he pitched in 2023, after being designated for assignment by the Dodgers earlier this week. He has a 4.43 ERA in 89 1/3 innings this year. The Dodgers will receive 17-year-old Moises Bolivar as part of the deal. Paxton figures to slot into the Red Sox rotation for the rest of the season.
