He did allow a run on a sacrifice fly by Ryan Mountcastle, then punched out Cedric Mullins to end the threat. Suarez then returned for the ninth inning where he set down the side in order to close it out. The 33-year-old hurler now boasts a 1.51 ERA on the season to go along with five victories and 23 saves on the season.

It's the second consecutive game against a right-hander that Mullins has found himself on the pine for. The 29-year-old outfielder is slashing a woeful .214/.259/.375 on the season with 10 homers, 32 RBI and 17 stolen bases. Heston Kjerstad will draw a rare start in his place on Friday and will bat sixth against Padres' rookie right-hander Adam Mazur.

Mullins is not in the lineup for Friday's game versus the Padres, Rich Dubroff of BaltimoreBaseball.com reports.
