The Lions are listing Edge Za'Darius Smith as questionable for Sunday night's game against the Texans. The team reportedly gave Smith two days off after his trade from Cleveland this week. He was listed as a full practice participant Friday but is understandably still learning the defense.
The Lions officially won't have their starting left tackle and their deadline acquisition may or may not be on the field for Sunday's matchup with the Texans.
Lions pass rusher Za'Darius Smith, who was acquired from the Browns at the NFL's trade deadline earlier this week, is questionable to make his debut for Detroit Sunday against the Texans.
Smith was given Wednesday and Thursday off to process his trade from the Browns to the Lions and was granted permission to visit his home in Florida, which suffered damage in a recent Hurricane. When asked if he would play this week, a smiling Smith told reporters, "I really don't know but that's a Dan [Campbell] question. Hopefully, I can play." The Lions will be without starting LB Malcolm Rodriguez (ankle) and neither CB Emmanuel Moseley (pectoral) nor S Ifeatu Melifonwu (ankle) will make their return.
