Free agent defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. has agreed to a contract with the Dallas Cowboys, a source confirmed to ESPN.
Per NFL Network's Tom Pelissero, the deal is worth "up to" $8 million. Fowler Jr. signed a one-year deal with the Commanders last offseason after spending two seasons in Dallas. He tallied 10.5 sacks and now returns to a Cowboys defense looking to replace pass-rush production following the departure of Demarcus Lawrence. Fowler Jr. was a successful part-time player in his previous Cowboys stint, totaling 10 sacks despite never playing more than half of the team's defensive snaps in a game. He should start for Dallas this time around.
