Ravens thin at running back Ravens game statuses Sunday vs. Colts. RB Justice Hill (toe), WR Odell Beckham Jr. (ankle), LT Ronnie Stanley (knee), C Tyler Linderbaum (ankle), OLB Odafe Oweh (ankle), CB Marlon Humphrey (foot) and S Marcus Williams (pectoral) have all been ruled out. (Jeff Zrebiec on Twitter) FF Today's Take: The Ravens are thin at running back with Gus Edwards the likely starter. Expect Melvin Gordon and perhaps Kenyan Drake to be called up to the practice squad. Edwards is a viable RB2 against the Colts but isn't a pass-catcher... something that will deflate his value in PPR leagues. Rashod Bateman and Nelson Agholor will help fill the OBJ void.
Ravens HC John Harbaugh says the ankle injury that knocked WR Odell Beckham Jr. out of Sunday's win over the Bengals is minor. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Beckham is "managing the issue" and that it's not expected to cost him game time going forward -- "if all goes well." We'll watch Beckham's status heading into a Week 3 home date with the Colts. WRs Rashod Bateman and Devin Duvernay each gained significant playing time Sunday vs. Week 1. Nelson Agholor went from 0 Week 1 targets to leading the Week 2 receiving production, but his playing time didn't grow with Beckham going down.
Several Patriots cast-offs were heavily involved for their new teams during the NFL's Week 2 action. Here's a roundup of their performances.
WR Nelson Agholor led the Ravens with 63 receiving yards in Sunday's win over the Bengals. His 5 catches tied TE Mark Andrews for the team lead and included a 17-yard TD. Agholor benefited from WR Odell Beckham Jr. leaving early with an ankle injury. WR Zay Flowers fell just 1 yard short of Agholor, with a 4-62 receiving line on 5 targets. WR Rashod Bateman drew just three looks, catching all three for 18 yards. We'll see about Beckham's status for a Week 3 home date with the Colts. Even if he's out, though, we wouldn't make Agholor a priority pickup on waivers this week.
Ravens WR Odell Beckham has been ruled out for the rest of Sunday's game vs. the Bengals with an ankle injury. We'll update his status when we know more. Zay Flowers, Rashod Bateman, and Nelson Agholor will operate as Baltimore's top three WRs the rest of the way.
