Mason Taylor News

NBC SportsMason Taylor caught 3-of-5 targets for 21 yards in the Jets' Week 12 loss to the Ravens.

Taylor dropped the first target of the afternoon that game his way, but hauled in one catch on three-straight drives to get to his final line. As far as fantasy is concerned, Taylor hasn't done anything of note since going for 5-34-1 against the Bengals, and he hasn't topped 34 receiving yards since Week 4. Fantasy managers can leave him on waivers for Week 13's game against the Falcons.

NBC SportsJets head coach Aaron Glenn said QB Tyrod Taylor will start in Week 12 against the Ravens.

Glenn confirmed that Justin Fields would once again be benched after his abysmal Week 11 outing against New England. Taylor will take over the Jets offense for now, starting with a tough matchup against a now-healthy Baltimore defense. Taylor's insertion into the starting lineup likely means more drop back volume for Jets pass catchers. It could make Mason Taylor and perhaps AD Mitchell interesting in deeper formats, along with John Metchie, who last week against the Patriots had three catches for 45 yards and a touchdown.

FF TodayJustin Fields benched for Tyrod Taylor

Taylor to start in Week 12 against Baltimore The Jets are making a quarterback change, benching Justin Fields in favor of veteran Tyrod Taylor, per source. New York faces Baltimore in Week 12 and ranks last in the league in passing yards per game. (The Athletic - Dianna Russini) FF Today's Take: Given the state of affairs in New York, it is hard to say this move helps anyone in fantasy. In theory, Tyrod Taylor's presence should help the passing game be more productive, but Mason Taylor may be the only player capable of taking advantage in the immediate future. Tyler Johnson, John Metchie and Adonai Mitchell could also see slight bumps to their fantasy stock, but it would be hard to trust any of them in a typical 12-team league.
