Payton added that if this were a playoff game, Payton would probably be playing. But this is management with the hope of getting things in shape for Bryant down the line. Marvin Mims will find more snaps in Week 15 and both Troy Franklin and Courtland Sutton should get a slight workload upgrade.

The rookie has emerged as Denver's No. 2 WR, but his absence would boost Troy Franklin back into that role and Marvin Mims into the No. 3 spot on the depth chart.

Bryant is officially in danger of missing Week 15's game against the Packers after back-to-back DNPs to open the week. Marvin Mims would likely see a role elevation if Bryant missed the game. Troy Franklin and Courtland Sutton would probably also get more steady work if Bryant were indisposed on Sunday.

Bryant had been quietly earning more work in the Denver offense in recent weeks. He has 17 targets over his past three games and has flipped Troy Franklin in the pecking order for routes. Bryant was added to the injury report on Thursday last week but participated in at least a limited capacity throughout the week. A DNP today could be a sign that his hamstring issue worsened during Sunday's game. Franklin would reclaim his starting role if Bryant can't suit up in Week 15.
