Jack Bech caught 2-of-3 targets for 17 yards in the Raiders' Week 15 loss to the Eagles.Bech's 17 yards were actually second on the team, if you want to know how the Raiders' road trip went. Things won't get any better for Week 16, where they will visit Houston to face the Texans' elite pass defense. Whether it is Kenny Pickett or Geno Smith under center for Vegas, Bech will be out of WR4 spots in fantasy.
Jack Bech Loads Up on Late TargetsRaiders rookie WR Jack Bech played a season-high 82% of the snaps in Sunday's loss to the Broncos. He also drew a team-high six targets, catching all of them for 50 yards. That set season highs for Bech in each of those categories. TE Brock Bowers followed with a 4-46 receiving line on five targets. WR Tyler Lockett posted a 3-41 on four targets. WR Tre Tucker caught two of five targets for 24 yards.
Jack Bech caught 6-of-6 targets for 50 yards in the Raiders' Week 14 loss to the Broncos.Four of Bech's targets were thrown to him by backup QB Kenny Pickett, who replaced QB Geno Smith (right shoulder) in the second half. Bech's upside is unknown, and largely in doubt, but he does seem to have a decent connection with Pickett. Bech could warrant boom-bust FLEX consideration against the Eagles in Week 15.
Kenny Pickett completed 8-of-11 passes for 96 yards and one touchdown in the Raiders' 24-17, Week 14 loss to the Broncos, adding one rush for seven yards.Raiders QB Geno Smith injured his right, throwing shoulder on the final play of the third quarter and was immediately taken to the locker room, thrusting Pickett into the starting lineup. Pickett took over on 3rd-and-7 from the Broncos' seven-yard line and eventually turned the ball over on downs. The journeyman quarterback showed a decent connection with rookie WR Jack Bech thereafter and eventually connected with WR Shedrick Jackson, Bo Jackson's nephew, for a 25-yard touchdown. It is Jackson's first career reception. Pickett is a potential QB2 against the Eagles next week.
Raiders ruled out WR Dont'e Thornton (concussion) for Week 14 against the Broncos.Raiders head coach Pete Carroll said he expects rookie WR Jack Bech to be involved "a lot" in Week 14. Bech will likely play more snaps, but expecting him to be involved a lot as a receiver seems foolhardy. Thornton has earned just 25 targets all year and Bech somehow trails him with 14. Bech warrants mild DFS consideration but should not be in re-draft lineups.
