Isaiah Bond caught 1-of-2 targets for 18 yards in the Browns' Week 13 loss against the 49ers, adding one rush for nine yards.Bond followed up his impressive Week 12 performance -- two catches for 58 yards -- with something of a dud, though no one put up great numbers in the lifeless Cleveland offense. Bond ran a route on just 13 of the Browns' 30 drop backs. He'll be a deep league flex option in Week 14 against the Titans.
Browns HC Kevin Stefanski has named Shedeur Sanders as the team's starting QB.Shedeur was under center for the Browns' third win of the season over the Raiders and helped generate a more vertical passing attack while throwing for 209-1-1 on 11-of-20 passing. Sanders' two biggest throws of the day came on a beautifully thrown 52-yard bomb to Isaiah Bond in the first quarter, with his other coming on a 66-yard touchdown on a pass behind the line of scrimmage to Dylan Sampson. It was only going to be a matter of time before Sanders, who famously slid to the fifth-round of this year's draft, got a chance to start. Now, the Browns will look to see if he's their quarterback of the future over these next six weeks or another name added to a laundry list of QB1 hopefuls. Sanders shouldn't be viewed as anything more than a low-end QB2 for this week's game against the Niners.
Isaiah Bond caught both of his targets for 58 yards in the Browns' Week 12 win over the Raiders.Bond was on the receiving end of Shedeur Sanders' big highlight of the day. He sped past the Vegas secondary and Sanders launched a deep ball at him while on the run, resulting in a 52-yard gain. Bond came up just feet short of the end zone, but Quinshon Judkins punched in a short touchdown shortly after. Bond's profile is too boom/bust for fantasy managers to care about in redraft leagues. He is, however, a worthwhile stash in dynasty formats.
Shedeur Sanders completed 11-of-20 passes for 209 yards, one touchdown, and one interception in the Browns' 24-10, Week 12 win over the Raiders.Making his first NFL start, all eyes were on Sanders versus a beatable Raiders defense. Sanders struggled to get much going early in the game but found his stride near the end of the first quarter. Rolling to his right, Sanders uncorked a dime to Isaiah Bond for a 52-yard score. It may have been the best throw by any Browns quarterback this year. Sanders' very next pass, however, was a horrific intercpetion. He didn't see Raiders DE Charles Snowden slink back into zone coverage and tossed an easy pick. Sanders was taken off the field near the goal line in favor of a Quinshon Judkins Wildcat package. Judkins scored on that look twice. The backfield as a whole had Sanders' back later in the game when Dylan Sampson turned a check-down into a 66-yard score to ice the game. Assuming Dillon Gabriel clears concussion protocol this week, Kevin Stefanski will have a decision to make between him and Sanders for the Browns' Week 13 matchup with the 49ers.
Isaiah Bond caught 0-of-1 targets in the Browns' Week 11 loss to the Ravens.Bond returned from his foot injury this week to no avail. The Browns' rookie wide receiver earned just one target all night, albeit in the end zone, though QB Shedeur Sanders gave him no real chance to make a play with the poorly aimed pass. Bond is not worth starting against the Raiders in Week 12.
