Broncos coach Sean Payton said RB RJ Harvey will "have more opportunities" when talking about the potential absence of J.K. Dobbins.Dobbins is dealing with a foot injury and is reportedly a candidate to be placed on injured reserve. That means he can safely be ruled out for Week 11, making Harvey the next man up. Payton noted Harvey's size when talking about his ability to take on more work, saying, "He's built to last, and that's important." Harvey has eight pounds on Tyler Badie and 18 pounds on Jaleel McLaughlin. It seems like a given that Harvey would see more work with Dobbins out, but it's nice to hear it from Payton himself, given how fickle the head coach can be with his backfield touches.
Broncos RB J.K. Dobbins (foot) was not seen practicing on Wednesday. This was expected. Just yesterday, the Denver Gazette's Chris Tomasson reported that the Broncos are considering placing Dobbins on injured reserve. Until they make an official call, though, we are on practice watch. Broncos rookie RB RJ Harvey is an RB2 this week, while RB Tyler Badie warrants PPR FLEX consideration.

Denver Gazette's Chris Tomasson reports the Broncos are considering placing J.K. Dobbins (foot) on injured reserve. He apparently picked up the injury during Thursday night's riveting win over the Raiders, though he played through it at the time while the Broncos closed out the game. If Dobbins is an IR candidate, he's definitely a candidate to sit this week, which should be a big boost for RJ Harvey and probably make Tyler Badie a FLEX consideration as well.
J.K. Dobbins a candidate for IR?Week 10 foot injury could sideline RB for a month #Broncos I'm told are considering what to do with running back J.K. Dobbins and his foot injury. I was told placing him on injured reserve is being considered. (Denver Gazette - Chris Tomasson) FF Today's Take: The injury occurred on a hip-drop tackle on Thursday night against the Raiders. Dobbins returned to the game and finished it out, but it appears the injury is much more serious than he could have imagined. Perhaps the only thing keeping Denver from putting him on IR is the team's Week 12 bye. With last week's early game giving him a few extra days and the upcoming bye, Dobbins could recover for roughly 3 1/2 weeks and only miss two games. In the interim, RJ Harvey should serve as a solid RB2 start in most leagues. He will likely lose about 6-8 touches per week to Jaleel McLaughlin, who now enters the low-end flex conversation.
