DJ Giddens
2025 Season Outlooks
Giddens was selected by the Colts in the fifth round of April's draft. He has a solid frame and showed well at the combine, with a 4.43 40, 39.5-inch vertical (second best among RBs) and 130-inch broad (second best). He was solid efficiency-wise as a collegiate rusher but struggled with drops and may cap out as an early-down option. He'll battle Tyler Goodson for primary backup duties behind feature back Jonathan Taylor and, thus, has some late-round insurance appeal.
Giddens' rushing grade was between 85 and 90 during his three seasons at Kansas State.
At 6 feet and 214 pounds, he is one of the bigger running backs of the 2025 draft class. He ranked in the 83rd percentile or better in hand size, 40-yard dash time, 10-yard split, vertical jump and broad jump.
Jonathan Taylor received a positive grade on 38.4% of his runs last season, which ranked 40th out of 47 running backs with at least 100 carries. Given Taylor's injury history and recent quality of play, there is a chance for Giddens to earn playing time on running downs.
