Brock Bowers
2025 Season Outlooks
Bowers has quickly established himself as one of the top two tight ends in Fantasy -- and will be drafted accordingly. As a rookie, Bowers averaged a massive nine targets per game, and while the majority of his receptions were on short throws, he extended plenty of them for valuable yards after the catch (5.3 per reception). And as good as his 15.5 PPR points per game were, he still left meat on the bone -- he could surely add more touchdowns and earn a higher rate of explosive plays after just 12.4% of his catches went for 12-plus yards. The biggest concern is that this year's Raiders rookie sensation, running back Ashton Jeanty, garners much more attention from new playcaller Chip Kelly and turns Las Vegas into a more balanced offense. It could mean a small drop in targets for Bowers, but not enough to think he'll let you down. Bowers will be a Round 2 pick in most leagues this fall.
Bowers is fresh off a dominant rookie season in which he produced 262.7 fantasy points, easily the most by a first-year tight end. He was a featured player right out of the gate and went on to pace the position in routes, targets, receptions (112 is the most ever by a rookie, regardless of position), yards and fantasy points. Bowers' season could've been even better had he seen more goal-line work (he was limited to five TDs and six end zone targets). He is already an elite player and the 22-year-old figures to benefit from improved QB play now that Geno Smith is under center. Bowers should be one of the first two TEs off the board on draft day.
Bowers joined the Raiders and immediately became the league’s top fantasy tight end. He led all tight ends in receptions and receiving yards as a rookie, resulting in the most fantasy points.
Bowers led the league in uncatchable targets last season, which should change with Geno Smith. Part of the high uncatchable target total was simply part of having a high target total, but when accounting for the depth of the target, his rate of uncatchable targets was also high.
Raiders' new offensive coordinator Chip Kelly has four years of experience as an NFL head coach. In three of those years, the tight end who led the team in offensive snaps was different from the tight end who led the room in receiving yards. The Raiders have Michael Mayer, who could fit the role of leading the team in snaps. While Bowers should still lead the team in snaps, we should see a marginal shift in snaps relative to late last season.
