With De'Von Achane back and Raheem Mostert still chugging, Wright reverted to pure change-of-pace/breather work. He still provided the Dolphins' longest rush of the day. Wright would be a more intriguing option in other backfields, but there are probably zero non-injury paths to him earning a top-two role in Miami. Even with Tua Tagovailoa expected back from his concussion in Week 8 against the Cardinals, Wright lacks 12-team league standalone value.
A pair of low-round injury replacements stole the show in Week 5, as rookie RBs Tyrone Tracy Jr. and Jaylen Wright led their teams to wins.
Wright saw extended run in Week 5 after De'Vone Achane was ruled out of the game with a brain injury he suffered in the first quarter. Wright out-rushed Raheem Mostert despite Mostert seeing 18 rushing attempts on the day. Wright appeared explosive throughout, notching a 6.6 yards per carry and looking a lot like Achane at times. Wright should be rostered in all fantasy leagues in case Achane misses time following Miami's Week 6 bye.
Mostert took over as Miami's lead back with De'Vone Achane sidelined with a brain injury. Coming off a chest injury, Mostert looked as explosive as ever, ripping off a few lengthy runs, including an 18-yarder in the second half. Jaylen Wright had 13 rushes behind Mostert in an extremely run-heavy game plan. Achane will have the bye week to clear the league's concussion protocol, but if he doesn't, Mostert would be a top-12 fantasy option in Week 7.
Dolphins RB De'Von Achane left in the first quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Patriots for a concussion check. He's officially questionable to return. Stay tuned for an update. Update: Achane has been ruled out. It's his first documented concussion. Raheem Mostert and Jaylen Wright will handle backfield duties the rest of the way.
