NBC SportsThe Denver Post's Parker Gabriel reports Broncos QB Sam Ehlinger declined the Colts' offer to sign him to their active roster.

Ehlinger was originally drafted by the Colts and spent four seasons with the team. He told The Denver Post that he and his agent talked to the Colts for two days before turning down the offer and sticking with the Broncos' practice squad. The Colts were going for familiarity to fill their quarterback role by trying to get Ehlinger while also getting Philip Rivers. NBC SportsBroncos designated LG Ben Powers (biceps) to return from injured reserve.

The team now has 21 days to observe Powers in practice before officially activating him. Today, he promisingly "stretched with the team during the viewing period." Powers is a proficient run blocker and pass protector. His return would be a boon to QB Bo Nix and the Broncos' running backs.

NBC SportsPat Bryant caught 4-of-4 targets for 32 yards in the Broncos' Week 14 win over the Raiders.

Bryant produced a couple of chunk gains via leaping grabs in this one, though he unfortunately failed to secure the one target that really mattered. The Raiders turned the ball over on downs with three seconds left in the second quarter, giving the Broncos possession on the Raiders' 44-yard line. Broncos QB Bo Nix uncorked an on-target pass that Bryant high-pointed in the end zone. Unfortunately, Bryant only pawed at it with both hands, and the pass fell to the ground, incomplete. Bryant remains stuck on the boom-bust FLEX spectrum against the Packers next week.
