Although the Titans picked up their first win Monday night, they are 1-3 and in the first months of Brian Callahan‘s HC tenure. Callahan was not in Tennessee when the team won the DeAndre Hopkins sweepstakes last summer, and the accomplished wide receiver is in the second season of a two-year contract. Naturally, Hopkins would […]
That was still a large share of 102 total passing yards, but the Titans were able to sit on the ball for most of the second half without being seriously threatened by Tyler Huntley. It was a disappointment after his Week 3 surge, and there are likely better days ahead for Hopkins in fantasy this year. But even if he does have a large share of the passing offense, it's hard to ignore how little that could be if Mason Rudolph takes over the starting job in Tennessee. Hopkins may just be a bye week fill-in in most fantasy leagues down the stretch.
It was reported earlier that Hopkins was not spotted at Thursday's practice. He was officially listed as a DNP due to rest, meaning there's nothing to be concerned about here ahead of the Titans' Monday night tilt with the Dolphins.
With the Titans not playing until Monday, Thursday's practice marks their first of the week. Hopkins hasn't been listed on the team's injury report since Week 1, and there was no reported injury during the team's Week 3 contest against the Packers. It's possible this is nothing more than a maintenance day for the veteran receiver before he ramps things up later in the week. We'll see what the official injury report says when the team releases it shortly.
Titans WR DeAndre Hopkins caught six of seven targets for 73 yards and a score in the Week 3 loss to the Packers. The targets, catches, and receiving yards all led the team. The TD was vintage Hopkins: A contested grab before fighting through his defender into the end zone.
