The Seahawks' Friday injury report has yet to be released but Walker was unable to go on both Wednesday and Thursday. Early-week practice participation next week would bode positively for his Week 4 availability. Backup RB Zach Charbonnet handled 100.0 percent of the running back touches last week (14 rushing attempts and five targets), while No. 3 RB Kenny McIntosh logged just two total offensive snaps. Charbonnet is a volume-based RB2 against the Dolphins.
A highly unimpressive rushing performance that included a fourth down stop was saved by Charbonnet's one-yard touchdown plunge in the second quarter and his five receptions. Otherwise, it was abundantly clear why Charbonnet had faded from relevance behind injured starter Kenneth Walker III. Charbonnet did at least keep the backfield to himself, with Kenny McIntosh mixing in for zero handles. Charbonnet will profile as a bottom-barrel RB2 for Week 3 against the Dolphins in a game that should at least produce touchdown opportunities.
It's going to be a heavy, likely close to every-down, dose of Zach Charbonnet in Boston. He can be fired up as a touches-based RB2. Kenny McIntosh is the backup option if you are already desperate for touches. Walker seems like he will have a real shot at returning in Week 3 against the Dolphins. Joining Walker on the shelf for Week 2 are OT George Fant, LB Uchenna Nwosu, C Olu Oluwatimi, TE Pharaoh Brown, OT Michael Jerrell and OG Sataoa Laumea.
