Likely's second and third touchdowns of the season were his first since his monster opener. He actually got out-targeted 5-3 by Mark Andrews, but Likely and Charlie Kolar out-scored Andrews 3-0. It's just been that kind of year in the Ravens' skill corps. Catching a six-yard touchdown from Lamar Jackson on a broken play in the fourth quarter, Likely showed better chemistry with Jackson than Andrews has all year. Likely has just 69 yards in four games since Week 1, but his big-play ability keeps him hanging around the top 20.
The Ravens' No. 3 tight end doubled his season total for yardage by going unblocked off the line and catching a 55-yard seam buster early in the third quarter. His touchdown was a two-yard strike one period later. He was the Ravens' No. 2 pass catcher on the day, though Isaiah Likely somehow scored two touchdowns. Mark Andrews, for his part, caught four balls for 55 scoreless yards. Kolar isn't creating fantasy value of his own, but along with Likely, he continues to cut into Andrews'.
Likely caught all three of his targets for 13 yards and two touchdowns in Sunday's 41-38 overtime win over the Bengals.
The good news: The catches were Andrews' first of any kind since late in Week 2. The bad news: Isaiah Likely and Charlie Kolar combined for three touchdowns behind Andrews. They caught six total passes for 77 yards. Kolar had a 55-yard seam buster that was the Ravens' longest play of the game. It's not surprising Andrews was finally involved as a receiver again after the Bengals actually forced Baltimore to throw, but he simply hasn't commanded targets no matter the game script this year. He's become impossible to rank inside the top 12 and is arguably a tenuous roster hold. "Arguably" because it's still such a sorry scene at tight end, and this is an elite offense. The Ravens host the Commanders' poor defense for Week 6.
The 348 yards passing were the third most of Jackson's career, while his four scores almost doubled his 2024 total. Relentlessly targeting tight ends not named Mark Andrews, he found Isaiah Likely for six- and one-yard scoring strikes, Charlie Kolar for a two-yarder, and Rashod Bateman from 16 yards out. The six-yarder to Likely was the play of the game, with Jackson turning a fumbled snap into a cross-body beauty into the end zone. His longest completion was a 55-yarder to Kolar where the seam man earned a free release off the line and Jackson did not miss. Jackson did commit two fumbles, losing one, while also taking a safety. It wasn't a perfect day. But it was a reminder he can win football games every which way. The Commanders are an A+ Week 6 matchup.
