Packers WR Romeo Doubs led the team in targets Sunday for the first time since Week 1. He tallied game highs in receptions (8) and receiving yards (94) in the win over the Texans. Doubs drew a strong 30.3% target share and ran a route on a team-high 86.5% of QB Jordan Love's dropbacks.
NFL Week 7 is nearly a wrap. Romeo Doubs and Tyler Goodson stand out as waiver-wire targets ahead of Week 8.
Doubs made a highlight catch on the final offensive play on the game, securing the ball as he went to the ground to give the Packers just enough space for a comfortable Brandon McManus field-goal attempt. The Packers were able to scheme him open most of the game, and he looked good whether it was against Derek Stingley or D'Angelo Ross. A squeaky wheel narrative gone right following his Week 5 suspension, Doubs is a playable WR3 against the Jaguars in Week 8.
Love's throw to Tucker Kraft on his first score was an anticipation throw of beauty, and he continued to aggressively target the Texans downfield throughout the game. Love attempted 10 targets of 10 or more yards, completing four of them for 78 yards. It was a fairly game effort from Houston's defense, but Love was able to come up with a huge final throw to Romeo Doubs to set up a game-winning field goal. Love will be an easy QB1 next week against a Jaguars pass defense that has been picked apart all season.
Did not return after suffering shoulder injury in Week 6 Packers WR Dontayvion Wicks is considered week-to-week after sustaining a shoulder injury that caused him to leave Sunday s game vs the #Cardinals. Good news for Jordan Love and Green Bay, as the second-year man already has 3 TDs this season. (FOX Sports - Jordan Schultz) FF Today's Take: Not sure if it is the best news, but Wicks' eventual return is a good thing for the Packers since it seems likely Christian Watson, Jayden Reed or Romeo Doubs will miss time at some point. Despite being tied with Josh Jacobs for fourth on the team in catches (11), Wicks is tied for the team lead with three receiving scores. He is well worth keeping on benches.
