Jameson Williams: Red-hot play continuesWilliams caught seven of nine targets for 134 yards and a touchdown in Sunday's 41-34 loss to the Rams.
Jameson Williams caught 7-of-9 targets for 135 yards and a touchdown in Detroit's Week 15 win over the Rams.Since Dan Campbell took over playcalling from John Morton ahead of Week 10's game against the Commanders, Williams has 33 receptions, 582 yards, and four touchdowns in six games. (This, despite a baffling bagel against the Giants in Week 12.) Morton was the one out in front of the Williams hype train in the offseason; Campbell is merely the man who knows how to steer the ball to him. Williams will remain as inconsistent as any receiver in the sport because of how up-and-down the deep ball runs with him -- he left another 40-ish yards on the field in this one on a downfield drop -- but it's hard to say he's not an easy WR2 with this current pace. The Steelers defense should be gettable in Week 16.
Jameson Williams is the NFLPA Community MVP for Week 15The NFL Players Association announced on Friday that Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams has been named their Community MVP for Week 15.
Jameson Williams' Ascent ContinuesIt wasn't Jameson Williams' biggest statistical game, but his performance in Thursday night's win over the Cowboys was one of his best as a pro. Williams' evolution from big-play merchant to well-rounded WR was on display throughout the night. He ran impressive routes, such as a deep comeback for a first down on a 2nd-and-17 in the second quarter. And he made multiple tough grabs in traffic. Williams finished with a team-high 96 yards on seven catches and nine targets. He also took an end-around that nearly went for an 8-yard TD, but Williams just barely stepped out of bounds at the 1.
Jameson Williams caught 7-of-9 targets for 96 yards in the Lions' Week 14 win over the CowboysEven with Amon-Ra St. Brown in the lineup, Williams managed to tie for the team lead with nine targets and narrowly edged out ARSB in receiving yards. Williams has now totaled 240 yards through the air over the last two weeks. A solid fantasy day could have been made better had Williams managed to score on a seven-yard run that came up a yard short of the end zone. Despite a strong two weeks, Williams remains a volatile play for fantasy managers, but things have been mostly good as of late. He's gone for 66 or more receiving yards in five of his last six games and scored in four of those games. He'll be on the WR2/WR3 fantasy radar for Week 15 against the Rams.
