Drake London (knee) did not practice Wednesday. It's a bad sign for London's Week 14 availability against the Seahawks. London has missed the Falcons' past two games and the team doesn't appear to be in a hurry to rush him back into game action with the postseason out of reach. With London sidelined over the past two weeks, Kyle Pitts has led Atlanta pass catchers with 13 targets and nine receptions. Bijan Robinson has nine targets over those two games and Darnell Mooney has eight. Mooney is a viable 14-team league flex option for Week 14.
Darnell Mooney caught 2-of-5 targets for 25 yards in the Falcons' Week 13 loss to the Jets.Dismal. This was Mooney's worst game since Kirk Cousins replaced Michael Penix Jr. under center, but as fantasy managers know, his best game featured three receptions. Mooney is losing compiling looks to Kyle Pitts, and isn't muscling out the journeymen wideouts behind him for looks in the receiver corps. That's a tough way to make a WR4 living, especially for rough matchups like next week's date with the Seahawks. Only the fact that four teams are on bye will probably keep Mooney in the top 48 for that one.
Kirk Cousins completed 21-of-33 passes for 234 yards and a touchdown in the Falcons' 27-24, Week 13 loss to the Jets.Focused on avoiding sacks and turnovers, Cousins had zero giveaways while limiting his sack damage to 12 yards on two takedowns. Fair enough, but not a mentality that usually leads to winning football games. Then again, it's unclear what 37-year-old Cousins is supposed to do when Darnell Mooney and Kyle Pitts are his "top weapons." Cousins found David Sills for a score for the second consecutive week. Achievement unlocked. Playing out the string for a team going nowhere fast, Cousins has an awful Week 14 matchup in the Seahawks, removing him from the superflex mix if at all possible.
Kyle Pitts: Leading receiver in loss to JetsPitts caught seven of eight targets for 82 yards in Sunday's 27-24 loss to the Jets.
Drake London "Doubtful" For Week 13Falcons HC Raheem Morris called WR Drake London (knee) "doubtful" for this weekend's game vs. the Jets. It's not surprising that London will miss multiple games with his PCL injury. He's worth keeping stashed in all fantasy leagues but should be on benches for Week 13. WR Darnell Mooney, TE Kyle Pitts, and RB Bjian Robinson will be the best target bets for the Falcons in New York on Sunday.
