Cardinals RB Bam Knight hurt an ankle in the first quarter of Sunday's game vs. the Texans and was carted back to the locker room. He's officially questionable to return, but we'd be surprised if we saw him back out there today. Knight's absence leaves Arizona with RBs Michael Carter and Emari Demercado.

Demercado has been sidelined since suffering a high-ankle sprain in Week 11. He's expected to be active, according to Schefter, after getting in three limited practices during the week. Bam Knight has consistently out-touched Michael Carter in recent weeks and even if Demercado is active, he doesn't figure to command even a third of the backfield touches in his first game back. None of the Cardinals' running backs are particularly enticing against the Texans defense in the fantasy playoffs and Knight is truly the only usable option.

Demercado isn't a fantasy option but figures to steal some work, particularly on passing downs, from RBs Bam Knight and Michael Carter. Try to avoid Arizona's backfield in Week 15 fantasy lineups.

Demercado could need another week to rehab his high-ankle sprain, but Friday's report will clarify things. Cardinals RB Bam Knight has out-touched RB Michael Carter in each of the last three games, totaling 38 touches to Carter's 23. Should Demercado return this week, he could reduce both players' workloads. With all three on the field in Weeks 10-11, Knight totaled 20 touches while Demercado handled 14 and Carter took 10. Demercado has been out since Week 11 with a high-ankle sprain. He returned to practice last week but didn't suit up on Sunday. He has a shot at returning this week. Demercado would be in the mix for work on passing downs alongside Michael Carter, taking both players off the fantasy roster for Week 15.
