Bad George Pickens Shows Up In Week 14The Cowboys racked up 416 total yards and 376 passing yards in Thursday night's 44-30 loss to the Lions. WR George Pickens came away with just five catches for 37 yards and 0 TDs. It was an even more disappointing outcome considering WR CeeDee Lamb missed almost the entire second half with a concussion. Pickens saw bracket coverage on most plays after Lamb exited. But he also ran a bunch of half-hearted routes and was not attacking the ball like we know he's capable of. Pickens ran a lazy slant on Dallas' first offensive snap of the second half that was broken up by CB Amik Robertson and intercepted by LB Derrick Barnes.
Ryan Flournoy caught 9-of-13 targets for 115 yards and one touchdown in the Cowboys' Week 14 loss to the Lions.Flournoy now has two 100-yard performances on his resume this season. The second-year receiver saw nine of his 13 targets come in the second half with CeeDee Lamb (concussion) sidelined, and was on the receiving end of the only passing touchdown by Cowboys. Flournoy was the beneficiary of a broken coverage by the Lions when safety Brian Branch failed to provide help in the secondary for corner Amik Robertson. The end result was an uncontested 42-yard touchdown to give Flournoy his third receiving touchdown of the season. Flournoy could have some upside as a WR3/WR4 in Week 15 if Lamb were to miss next week's game, but he can be left on fantasy benches if Lamb is able to play.
Christian Watson caught 4-of-10 targets for 80 yards and one touchdown in the Packers' Week 13 win over the Lions.Watson's day could have been bigger had a missed defensive pass interference call not prevented him from securing a would-be 12-yard, first-down catch on the Packers' seventh drive. Two of Watson's four receptions were impressive sideline grabs. He scored a 51-yard touchdown on the Packers' fifth drive by running out, and up the right sideline, right past Lions' CB Amik Robertson, before hauling in the basket catch for the score. Watson warrants WR2 treatment against the Bears next week, though his performance can be reliant on downfield chunk gains.
