Steelers EDGE Alex Highsmith (pectoral) was removed from the injury report and will play in Week 13 against the Bills.Highsmith has not played since Week 10. Getting him back provides the Steelers' pass rush with a big boost. The Steelers will also have CB Joey Porter Jr. (hip) on the field when they take on the Bills this weekend. Both Highsmith and Porter practiced full on Friday.
Steelers declared QB Aaron Rodgers, LB Alex Highsmith, OG Andrus Peat, DT Brodric Martin-Rhodes and DL Logan Lee inactive for Week 12 against the Bears. As usual, Rodgers made his status some big drama when it turns out there really wasn't any. It seemed all along that Mason Rudolph would play. We suppose Rodgers supposedly taking things down to the wire bodes well for his odds of missing only one game and returning in Week 13. It goes without saying we will be forced to let you know all about it this upcoming week.
Steelers EDGE Alex Highsmith (pectoral) is doubtful to play in Week 12 against the Bears.Highsmith sat out on Wednesday before getting in two limited sessions. The difference-making EDGE rusher boasts a 16.6 percent pass-rush win rate, 19 quarterback pressures and six sacks. Bears QB Caleb Williams should have a far easier time staying upright and comfortable in the pocket with Highsmith expectedly sidelined.
Steelers EDGE Alex Highsmith (pectoral) was limited in Thursday's practice. It's the first practice he's played in since injuring the pectoral in Week 10. It's possible Highsmith will be out there against the Bears in Week 12, though we'd still bet on him hitting the questionable line at this point.
Steelers Rule Alex Highsmith Out vs. BengalsThe Steelers have ruled Edge Alex Highsmith out for Sunday's game against the Bengals with a pectoral injury that kept him out of practice all week. That damages the Pittsburgh pass rush, but Nick Herbig has filled in effectively in the past and will start opposite T.J. Watt. He's worth a look where available on waivers in IDP leagues.
