2025 Season Outlooks
Rare is the fourth-year breakout receiver who Fantasy managers flock to, but Jennings is primed to serve as the 49ers' primary outside receiver in 2025. He should be a No. 3 receiver in Fantasy play, especially in leagues where catches count, but consistency could be an issue. Jennings averaged 14.9 PPR points per game from Week 3 through the end of the season, though that number is propped up by a massive 46.5-point game against the Rams. His next-biggest game was 28 points, and he only had four games with 15 or more PPR points all year. If he could establish some consistency then he'd be an easy Fantasy starter, but without it he could disappoint a little. Round 7 would be the best time to take him.
After three seasons playing a depth role, Jennings enjoyed a breakout in 2024. The 2020 seventh-round pick soaked up a 25% target share en route to a top-30 finish among WRs in targets, catches, yards, TDs, end zone targets and fantasy points (27th in PPG). His 46.5-point effort in Week 3 was the third-highest total posted in a single week last season. Jennings' usage benefited from injuries above him on the depth chart, but with Deebo Samuel Sr. gone and Brandon Aiyuk expected to miss roughly half the season, he's again ticketed for a big role in 2025. Jennings, who ranked 11th among WRs in yards per route run, is a viable flex target, though a slow start is possible after he missed significant chunk of offseason activities.
