Giants RB Tyrone Tracy played 47 snaps to Devin Singletary's 18 in Sunday's loss to the Commanders, according to Pro Football Focus. Tracy got more work in both the run game (16 carries to 7) and receiving (16 routes to 6), despite coming off a Week 8 concussion.
Tracy also caught one pass for three yards. The explosive rookie was largely held in check on Sunday, with his longest run coming on a 10-yard gain, but he was instrumental in helping the Giants move the ball for much of the first half. Tracy's 16 rush attempts more than doubled that of Devin Singletary and are more than enough to put him squarely on the radar as a high-end RB2 in Week 10 against the Panthers.
Fantasy managers can count on the explosive Tracy to handle another high-volume workload in Week 9. Tracy out-touched Devin Singletary 22-to-4 in Week 8, establishing himself as the Giants' clear-cut No. 1 running back. He is an RB2 with easy RB1 upside.
Giants RB Tyrone Tracy (concussion) put in a full practice on Friday and is off the final injury report. He s been cleared to play vs. the Commanders this weekend, despite sustaining a concussion on Monday night. Tracy was dominating rushing work before that head injury, out-carrying RB Devin Singletary 20 to 2 for the game. The rookie is a solid RB2 in Week 9 fantasy lineups.
Should play in Week 9 Tyrone Tracy Jr. is progressing again today. Barring an unexpected setback, the #Giants top RB is expected to be cleared from the concussion protocol and start Sunday. (Pat Leonard on X) FF Today's Take: We've seen Tracy take over the Giants backfield at times including last week when he finished with a 20-145-1, 2-5-0 line against the Steelers. Assuming he gets cleared, he should be lead back in Week 9 against the Commanders and be in the high-end RB2 mix with Devin Singletary working in a backup role.
