Commanders DT Daron Payne was ejected from Week 10 against the Lions after committing an unnecessary roughness penalty.Payne was flagged after a hard-fought 13-yard touchdown run made by Lions RB Jahmyr Gibbs. Payne can be clearly seen punching Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown on the left side of his facemask. Astonishingly, Commanders DT Javon Kinlaw was not ejected after striking a referee in the forehead, though he was penalized, after Payne was ejected. The Commanders also may have lost CB Trey Amos, who entered the game with a hip injury, and required two trainers' assistance to leave the field after injuring his ankle on the play. Commanders LB Frankie Luvu was also seen on the sideline, having his upper right arm examined by a trainer. Amos is currently questionable to return. Update: Luvu later returned before the end of the first half.

Frankie Luvu Gets Suspension OverturnedWashington LB Frankie Luvu can play this week after all. The league initially suspended him one game for his third violation (Sunday night) of the rule against hip-drop tackles. But Derrick Brooks -- jointly appointed by the NFL and NFL Players' Association -- downgraded that to a $100,000 fine on appeal. Luvu had been the first player suspended under this particular rule. Luvu was previously fined for hip-drop tackles in Week 4 and Week 8 this season.
