The double-double king this season, Sabonis finished Monday's win two assists shy of a triple-double. More notable than this was Kings interim coach Doug Christie's willingness to play Sabonis and Jonas Valanciunas together, as the two centers shared the court for an extended portion of the fourth quarter. Sacramento outscored Dallas (who did not have Dereck Lively II or Daniel Gafford) by six in the frame, and both Kings bigs had positive plus/minus ratings. Valanciunas finished with 13 points and eight rebounds in 18 minutes, and getting time on the court with Sabonis in the future could preserve some of his fantasy value.
George's absence means Justin Champagnie could draw another start alongside Bub Carrington, Jordan Poole, Bilal Coulibaly and Richaun Holmes. Holmes has been filling in for the injured Sarr with Jonas Valanciunas and Marvin Bagley III traded.
The Kings acquired Valanciunas on Wednesday, and he'll be available to play for his new squad one day later. He'll fill out the backup center minutes behind Domantas Sabonis, which isn't a large role. He'll likely fill out 10-15 minutes and be a productive reserve, but that isn't enough time to impact fantasy basketball.
Valanciunas (recently traded) is available for Thursday's game against Portland, James Ham of ESPN 1320 Sacramento reports.
Len played limited minutes in Sacramento as Domantas Sabonis' backup, and he was due to fall in the pecking order after Jonas Valanciunas was acquired from Washington. In Memphis, Len faces a similar climb to playing time, so he's unlikely to impact fantasy basketball. There's no need to consider adding Len in Memphis, and his exit changes little in Sacramento, considering the lack of fantasy value behind Sabonis.
