Precious Achiuwa recorded 14 points (6-of-7 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, three assists, one steal and one three-pointer in Wednesday's loss to the Suns. While Drew Eubanks (4/10/2/1 in 14 minutes) has filled the void in the starting lineup left by the injured Domantas Sabonis, Achiuwa has been more valuable to fantasy managers over the past week. Rostered in three percent of Yahoo! leagues, he has been five rounds more valuable than Eubanks in nine-cat formats. Neither Achiuwa nor Eubanks should be considered a must-roster player, but the former should be the preferred option for managers in dire need of a post player.
Russell Westbrook, Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, Keegan Murray and Drew Eubanks will start Saturday's game against the Nuggets. After playing 32 minutes off the bench in his season debut on Thursday, Murray is in the starting lineup. Taking on his usual role, he'll push Precious Achiuwa to the bench. While Murray can easily provide excellent fantasy value, Achiuwa wasn't worth streaming when allowed to start. Eubanks continues to start for Domantas Sabonis, who will remain out for a few more weeks.
Keegan Murray (thumb) finished Thursday's loss to the Grizzlies with 11 points (5-of-13 FGs), three rebounds and one three-pointer.Murray made his first appearance of the season on Thursday, but he was not inserted into the starting lineup. Precious Achiuwa remained in the starting power forward role, playing 24 minutes and finishing with two points and five rebounds. There were times when he and Murray shared the court, but Murray logging 32 minutes in his debut is a positive sign. Where he fits in Doug Christie's rotation bears watching. While Murray has been a starter throughout his career, coming off the bench on this particular team may open things up for him offensively. Getting consistent shots sharing the court with Russell Westbrook, Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan and Domantas Sabonis (when healthy) will be challenging.
Domantas Sabonis (knee) has been ruled out against the Grizzlies on Thursday.Sabonis also missed Wednesday's game against the Thunder, but there was some hope he would suit up for the second game of the back-to-back. Drew Eubanks and Precious Achiuwa both started on Wednesday, but with Keegan Murray likely back, we'd assume Achiuwa slides to the bench. Neither is relevant in fantasy formats.
Russell Westbrook, Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, Precious Achiuwa and Drew Eubanks will start Wednesday's game against the Thunder. The Kings are without Domantas Sabonis for Wednesday's game, as he is out with a sore left knee. As has been the case in the past, he'll be replaced in the starting lineup by Eubanks, who is worth adding to deep-league rosters. Sacramento's lineup has no other changes.
