Aaron Nesmith

It looked like it could have been far more than a sprain when it happened, but he's still missing considerable time.

Pacers wing Aaron Nesmith avoided a major injury but will still be sidelined for at least a month with a left knee injury.

Walker moves into the starting lineup in place of Aaron Nesmith, who Pacers coach Rick Carlisle expects to miss up to four weeks. Walker has struggled as a starter this year, but he should remain in that role for a few weeks.

That would have Nesmith returning in mid-December. Carlisle did note it's possible Nesmith returns earlier, but that is the most likely scenario. Ben Sheppard and Jarace Walker should see a boost in minutes as long as Nesmith is sidelined.

Nesmith (knee) is expected to be out for around four weeks, Dustin Dopirak of The Indianapolis Star reports.
