Kevin Love

Nurkic is dealing with a right rib contusion, and a place in the starting lineup would open up if he can't play against the Nets. Kyle Filipowski is the most likely replacement, and this would raise his fantasy ceiling, especially with Kevin Love already out.

Love had 11 points in 15 minutes off the bench in Monday's win over the Rockets. The 37-year-old power forward will miss the first game of a back-to-back for the Jazz on Thursday against the Nets. Expect Love to be available Friday against the Knicks.

Love did not play in Monday's loss to the Warriors, as Utah was playing its second game in as many nights. With Taylor Hendricks still on assignment with the team's G League affiliate, Love should play rotation minutes off the bench. He isn't worth the risk in most fantasy leagues, but Love will have opportunities between now and the February trade deadline.

After not appearing in Utah's first five games, Love has hit double figures in minutes in each of his last three appearances. He was productive against the Bulls, hitting double figures and finishing two rebounds shy of a double-double. Love is not in a position where he needs to be considered for any fantasy roster, even after Walker Kessler was ruled out for the remainder of the season. Managers needing production are better off gambling on Jusuf Nurkic, who tallied four points, 14 rebounds, five assists, three steals and one blocked shot in 38 minutes.
