Daniels is back after missing two games with a strained hip flexor. His return means Larry Nance heads to the bench, but the veteran big man will still play rotation minutes. The Hawks are sitting Onyeka Okongwu, as Sunday's game is the first of a back-to-back, which will keep Nance in the rotation.
In a surprising move, Nance was started alongside Clint Capela on Friday. It didn't take long for Hawks coach Quin Snyder to realize that wouldn't work, with Nance being pulled in favor of Garrison Mathews with 7:41 remaining in the first quarter. Nance only played four more minutes the rest of the night, which was a rough turn of events for managers hoping for streaming value. Nance is only worth a look if Capela or Onyeka Okongwu sit, and both played on Friday.
Nance is the lone change to the Hawks' starting lineup, replacing David Roddy. Nance may not be much of an offensive weapon, but the Hawks should be better defensively after allowing 133 points to the Wizards on Wednesday. The veteran forward should be streamed as long as he remains in the starting lineup.
The Hawks have been hit hard by injuries recently, hence the changes to the starting lineup. Risacher remains due to De'Andre Hunter's continued absence, while Roddy steps in for Dyson Daniels. While a risky streaming play, the Hawks' lack of options makes Roddy worth the risk.
Okongwu's absence frees up additional playing time for the likes of Jalen Johnson, David Roddy and Clint Capela. If Hunter is ruled out again, Zaccharie Risacher could continue to see extra minutes in a favorable matchup with the Wizards.
