Maxime Raynaud finished Wednesday's loss to the Rockets with 25 points (10-of-15 FGs, 3-of-3 FTs), six rebounds, three assists, one steal, one block and two three-pointers.On a night when the Kings' starters underwhelmed, Raynaud enjoyed his best game as a pro. Less than a week after scoring 19 points against the Jazz, the rookie center recorded his first 20-point game in Houston. While he may not be Domantas Sabonis' replacement in the starting lineup, Raynaud has more opportunities to contribute with the veteran center sidelined. And his upside is superior to that of Drew Eubanks, who only played ten minutes on Wednesday. Raynaud isn't a must-add just yet, but he deserves a look in deep leagues.
Precious Achiuwa recorded 14 points (6-of-7 FGs, 1-of-2 FTs), five rebounds, three assists, one steal and one three-pointer in Wednesday's loss to the Suns. While Drew Eubanks (4/10/2/1 in 14 minutes) has filled the void in the starting lineup left by the injured Domantas Sabonis, Achiuwa has been more valuable to fantasy managers over the past week. Rostered in three percent of Yahoo! leagues, he has been five rounds more valuable than Eubanks in nine-cat formats. Neither Achiuwa nor Eubanks should be considered a must-roster player, but the former should be the preferred option for managers in dire need of a post player.
Russell Westbrook, Zach LaVine, DeMar DeRozan, Keegan Murray and Drew Eubanks will start Saturday's game against the Nuggets. After playing 32 minutes off the bench in his season debut on Thursday, Murray is in the starting lineup. Taking on his usual role, he'll push Precious Achiuwa to the bench. While Murray can easily provide excellent fantasy value, Achiuwa wasn't worth streaming when allowed to start. Eubanks continues to start for Domantas Sabonis, who will remain out for a few more weeks.
ESPN's Shams Charania reports Domantas Sabonis (knee) will be re-evaluated in three-to-four weeks.Sabonis has a partially torn left meniscus, which has him set to be re-evaluated between Dec. 11 and 18. Drew Eubanks will start in his place for now, with rookie Maxime Raynaud filling out the reserve minutes. Neither is a reliable option, but there will certainly be opportunities. This is a tough blow for a Kings team that has started the season slowly.
Domantas Sabonis (knee) has been ruled out against the Grizzlies on Thursday.Sabonis also missed Wednesday's game against the Thunder, but there was some hope he would suit up for the second game of the back-to-back. Drew Eubanks and Precious Achiuwa both started on Wednesday, but with Keegan Murray likely back, we'd assume Achiuwa slides to the bench. Neither is relevant in fantasy formats.
