Bam Adebayo tallied 20 points (7-of-13 FGs, 5-of-8 FTs), 10 rebounds, two assists, one steal and one three-pointer in Monday's loss to the Raptors.Adebayo, who notched his tenth double-double of the season on Monday, has increased his scoring output recently. He's scored at least 19 points in five of his last six outings, including four games with at least 20. Unfortunately, Adebayo has also shot 68.2 percent from the foul line during this stretch, which has negatively impacted his fantasy value. Remove the subpar foul shooting, and Bam has been a top-40 player over the past two weeks.
Tyler Herro (toe) will not play against the Raptors on Monday. After returning from a toe injury to face the Magic in the Heat's most recent game, Herro is out again as Miami tries to stop a four-game skid. Simone Fontecchio will start in his place, joining Bam Adebayo, Andrew Wiggins, Davion Mitchell, and Norman Powell. Herro has had a productive season, though he's only appeared in six games due to various injuries. When healthy, he's been one of the Heat's top scoring options, and should continue to be once re-entering the lineup.
Davion Mitchell, Norman Powell, Simone Fontecchio, Andrew Wiggins and Bam Adebayo will start Monday's game against the Raptors. The Heat have been forced to make a late change to their starting lineup. Tyler Herro's toe injury has put him on the sidelines, with Fontecchio filling the resulting void. While he doesn't have the highest fantasy ceiling, Fontecchio is worth a look in deeper leagues where three-point production is needed.
Bam Adebayo: Productive performance in lossAdebayo logged 19 points (7-14 FG, 0-3 3Pt, 5-6 FT), eight rebounds, three blocks, two assists and one steal over 36 minutes during Tuesday's 117-108 loss to Orlando.
Bam Adebayo posted a full line on Tuesday with 19 points (7-of-15 FGs), eight rebounds, two assists, one steal and three blocks against the Magic.Adebayo has taken major strides as a shooter this season, but that hasn't been the case over Miami's last two games. After being held to nine points in Saturday's loss to the Kings, Adebayo failed to hit a three-pointer for the second straight game. The only other time he didn't hit a triple this season was against Denver; he exited that game after playing just eight minutes. Adebayo is having an excellent year, but he'll need to get back on track to help Miami snap this four-game losing streak.
