With Cade Cunningham (ankle) sidelined, Beasley slid into the starting lineup. He has been consistently excellent from beyond the arc as a starter this season, but he set new season-highs for both points and 3-pointers in this one. Beasley doesn't provide much value in other categories, but he has been one of the best 3-point shooters in the league this season. It was also an excellent bounce back performance after he was held to just two points in their loss on Wednesday.
With Cunningham sidelined, Malik Beasley will slot into the starting five alongside Tim Hardaway Jr., Tobias Harris, Ausar Thompson and Jalen Duren. Beasley is worth streaming as a three-point specialist for teams in desperate need of production in that category.
Beasley (shoulder) is available and starting against the 76ers on Friday.
Harris left Wednesday's game against the Cavaliers in the third quarter with a calf injury. It's a good sign that Harris is probable for the Pistons' next game. If Harris were to miss the game with the 76ers, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Malik Beasley would be counted on for more scoring.
Beasley is dealing with a strain in his left shoulder, but it isn't expected to keep him out of the lineup. He's coming off one of his worst games of the season, but he has been a consistent source of 3-pointers for most of the season. That should continue against Philadelphia.
