Khris Middleton

Middleton had previously been dealing with a knee injury, but now it is a foot issue that is giving him trouble. If he isn't available against Charlotte, Justin Champagnie would likely slide into the starting lineup, with Will Riley taking on extra minutes off the bench.

Middleton had been questionable with an illness, but he seems healthy enough to suit up. It remains to be seen how many minutes ge does play, but he could push Bub Carrington to the bench if the Wizards wanted to play a bigger lineup.

Bagley and Tristan Vukcevic are both out on Thursday, which means the Wizards don't have a true backup center. Then again, it might not matter on Thursday since the Nuggets are also without their only two centers. Jamir Watkins could see minutes as the backup big man, and Khris Middleton could also spend extra time at power forward or as the big man in smaller lineups.

Middleton is one of three Wizards players listed as questionable for Thursday's game due to illness. However, he's the only one who's a lock to start if available. Who would replace Middleton in the lineup may depend on Bilal Coulibaly, who's questionable with a lower back strain. If Coulibaly can play after a three-game absence, the Wizards could go small and keep Bub Carrington in the starting five.

Middleton (knee) isn't listed on the injury report for Saturday's game against the Nuggets.
