Khris Middleton

Washington is back after missing three games with an ankle injury, and he will be in the starting lineup on Tuesday. His return pushes Caleb Martin to the bench, limiting his fantasy value as a result.

Dallas is shorthanded across the board, so more minutes will be available for the likes of Brandon Williams, Khris Middleton, Caleb Martin, Max Christie and AJ Johnson.

Flagg is not yet ready to return to action, and with Naji Marshall (finger) also sidelined, Khris Middleton is worth a look in most fantasy leagues. He should see big minutes for as long as Flagg and/or Marshall are out.

A potential buyout candidate, Middleton has elected to ride out the season as a Maverick

In the aftermath of the Mavericks agreeing to waive point guard Tyus Jones so he could explore joining a contender, some wondered whether Middleton would take the same approach. However, Stein reported that the veteran forward is expected to finish the season in Dallas. Middleton's contract status may have influenced the decision, as he would lose his Bird rights if waived. He's currently playing solid minutes, but that could change later in the season as the Mavericks focus on the future.
