According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Ja Morant will be out for at least two weeks due to a Grade 1 calf strain.Morant's extended absence should open up new opportunities for Jaylen Wells, Cam Spencer and Vince Williams, though Wells is the preferred add. Javon Small could get a boost off the bench once he's back in action, but he's not worth a look outside of deep leagues.
Javon Small (toe) will be re-evaluated in three weeks.Small initially suffered a turf toe injury in his left foot in a November 8 G League game between the Memphis Hustle and Mexico City Capitanes and has not played since. His absence does not impact fantasy basketball, especially with starting point guard Ja Morant being healthy. Cam Spencer and Vince Williams Jr. have shared the backup responsibilities, and that will remain the case until Ty Jerome returns from injury.
Javon Small (toe) has been ruled out against the Cavaliers on Saturday. This will be a fourth straight absence for Small, but with Ja Morant healthy, Small's role will be insignificant when he is healthy. Cam Spencer has been filling the reserve point guard minutes.
