Cam Spencer, Cedric Coward, Jaylen Wells, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jock Landale will start Friday's game against the Thunder.Coward is back after missing Memphis' last two games and is immediately back in the starting lineup. GG Jackson heads to the bench, where his already-low fantasy value takes a hit.
Cam Spencer, Jaylen Wells, GG Jackson, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jock Landale will start Tuesday's game against the Spurs. The Grizzlies are down two starters for Tuesday's game, as Ja Morant (calf) and Cedric Coward (ankle) are out. Spencer will make a second consecutive start at point guard, with Vince Williams Jr. coming off the bench in his first game back from a knee injury. The other change is GG Jackson, who steps in for Coward. Capable of getting hot offensively, Jackson is worth watching in deeper leagues.
Jaylen Wells recorded 23 points (8-of-16 FGs, 4-of-4 FTs), one rebound, two assists and three three-pointers in Sunday's loss to the Lakers. After a quiet first three quarters, Wells got hot in the fourth, shooting 5-of-8 from the field and scoring 15 points. For the sake of fantasy managers, it would have been nice to get a little more from Wells earlier in the game. With Ja Morant out and Cedric Coward leaving with an ankle injury, there was more room for the second-year wing to get shots. For his fantasy value to improve, Wells will need to be more aggressive offensively when the Grizzlies are at or near full strength.
Cam Spencer, Jaylen Wells, Cedric Coward, Jaren Jackson Jr. and Jock Landale will start Sunday's game against the Lakers. The Grizzlies have made two changes to their starting lineup, one due to injury. Ja Morant (calf) is out, opening up a spot for Spencer at the point guard position. The other change is Landale, who steps in for Christian Koloko.
Jaylen Wells (hamstring) is now probable for Friday's game against the Lakers.Wells was initially listed as questionable with a sore left hamstring. Now it looks like the 22-year-old small forward will play Friday against the Lakers as he's been upgraded to probable. Wells ranks outside the top-200 players in fantasy this season.
