Champagnie has been a consistent part of Washington's rotation lately, but he hasn't played a large enough role to be worth rostering in fantasy basketball. His minutes will likely be divided up between Kyshawn George, Bilal Coulibaly and Corey Kispert, which should give all of them a slight boost.
Brogdon has been ruled out for right foot injury management. With the Wizards focused on rebuilding, veterans like Brogdon should spend more time on the sideline for the rest of the season. Kyshawn George and Bub Carrington will play more, increasing the fantasy values of both rookies.
Due to trades completed on Wednesday, Dalton Knecht, Moussa Diabate, and Kyshawn George are among the players worth stashing for after the All-Star break.
Washington trading Kyle Kuzma (Milwaukee) and Jonas Valanciunas (Sacramento) opened up two spots in the starting lineup earlier Wednesday. Carrington and Holmes have been promoted, with the latter starting while Alexandre Sarr works his way back from a sprained ankle. In the past, Holmes has put together quality performances when allowed to start, making him worth a roll of the dice for Wednesday. Carrington will have added value as the season winds down with the Wizards focused on rebuilding.
Making his seventh consecutive start, George had one of his best games of the season on Wednesday. The five 3-pointers were one shy of his season-high, and the rookie wing's 17 points are the most he's scored since January 16 (24 vs. Phoenix). While the fantasy value hasn't been great, George has made at least one 3-pointer in 13 straight games. With Kyle Kuzma no longer in the picture, the Wizards rookie won't lack opportunities between now and the end of the season. Keep an eye on George ahead of the "silly season."
