Edey isn't a player that needs a ton of time on the floor to make an impact. However, when he plays at least 20 minutes, he has been able to produce excellent value. He has recorded a double-double in four of their last six games despite not playing typical starter minutes. Edey has been able to provide fifth-round value over the last two weeks, which comes from plenty of rebounds and blocks while maintaining a high field goal percentage. Expect that to continue in Toronto on Wednesday.
Clarke will miss just his fourth game of the season due to some soreness in his back, which will open up some minutes at center. Zach Edey, Santi Aldama and Jay Huff will likely make up for his absence, though Huff isn't a player to consider streaming.
What a game for Edey Saturday. The 22-year-old center exploded for 19 points and two 3-pointers on the offensive end, both consisting of the best marks he's had in January. On the defensive end, he provided two steals and four blocks, which are the most combined steals and blocks that he's had in a game al season. While the Grizzlies' overall depth limits Edey's ceiling, his floor is still solid and his role should continue to increase.
Eubanks went shoulder first into Zach Edey after a shot went up, and the refs determined it to be a "non-basketball hit". That will end his night before halftime, which will open up extra minutes for Kyle Filipowski.
The Grizzlies will be without Ja Morant for Friday's game. The starting point guard is ill. Kennard will replace him in the lineup, and his inclusion will shift Desmond Bane into the primary playmaker role. Scotty Pippen Jr. can provide value off the bench, but he isn't worth streaming in most leagues since Bane is in the lineup.
