Cunningham hasn't missed a game since November, but there is a chance that this right ankle sprain keeps him on the sidelines against the 76ers. It is likely too quick of a turnaround for Dennis Schroder to fill the void after they traded for him on Thursday, so the starting job may fall to Marcus Sasser if Cunningham is sidelined.
Schroder started the year with the Nets and has been traded to the Warriors, Jazz and Pistons this season. He was only with Utah for a few hours, but it seems like he'll play out the rest of the season at the backup point guard behind Cade Cunningham. Schroder and Cade should share the court at times, which would allow Cunningham to spend some time away from the ball, but that shouldn't negatively impact his production. Schroder's arrival will likely push Marcus Sasser out of the rotation.
